About this event

Established by incredible demand, Bad Jimmy's is thrilled to host a standing monthly showcase, featuring some of the most dynamic singers and songwriters of the PNW.

Escape the hustle, stay awhile, and breathe in an evening of soul music. We offer extensive covered and heated seating for this outdoor, all ages, and dog friendly affair.

Spring is playing hard to get, so in the meantime a spirit of adventure and fuzzy blankets are encouraged.

Tickets are also available at the door, via cash or Venmo.

Thank you for your support in keeping live music alive and local!

Matt Hassler (Frontman of Seattle alt-country group The Hasslers and post-punk group Hi Wasted) has been consistently making his mark on the Seattle music scene since his arrival in 2015. His new solo record marks a departure from both genres, focusing on intricate finger-style guitar and deeply personal lyricism. While these new songs retain the clever wordplay and wry worldview of his other more well-known projects, this stripped down setup (a parlor guitar and a single microphone) feels more honest, and it isn’t to be missed live.

Micah Subar is a Seattle, Washington based guitar player, singer, songwriter, bassist, producer, and collaborator on an eclectic group of musical projects. His imaginative songwriting tells stories of misadventure and the search for creative freedom through the lens of folk music, yet is delivered with a reverence for classic soul. Micah released his debut LP ‘Daydream Ledger’ in January 2019. This album draws the listener in with a toned-down energy and minimalist aesthetic. He followed this up with the EP 'For Now,' a luminous, down-to-earth, modern take on the classic singer-songwriter genre. In 2021 Micah began recording at his home studio in Seattle and self-released the single, ‘A Tribute.’ Micah is currently touring the Pacific Northwest and surrounding areas.

Sandy Dodge is a folk musician through and through. His bluesy, foot-stomping-yet-delicate collection of bluesy folk tunes touch on love, relationships, breakups, and breakthroughs. A former member of multiple Seattle-based bands, Sandy's music has been selected as KEXP's Song of the Day, received airplay on regional radio, and has been heard on nearly every stage throughout the city from Barboza to The Crocodile and everywhere in between. His current collection of bluesy folk tunes are an exercise in excavating the hard truths of relationships while putting his unique and wise-beyond-his-years acoustic playing style on full display. Come watch Sandy perform and stomp your feet, hoot, holler, and maybe even shed a tear.

Cloud Gather is the musical and poetic project of Michigander, N.T. Zettell. Born from the folk and country-blues traditions, Zettell's approach to songwriting attempts at honesty and authenticity in a synthetic world of silicone and plastic. Unabashedly wordy lyrics imposed over primitivistic fingerpicking are counterpoised against straight-forward ballads with thoughtful dynamic arrangements. In addition to overwrought originals, the Cloud Gather songbook includes all variety of covers from golden oldies and jazz standards to indie obscurities and classic rock bangers.

Zettell cut his teeth with a sharp tongue, performing on stages in and around Detroit and throughout the state of Michigan. Zettell's other projects have included a series of romantic poetry recitations called "The Mask of Anarchy" and performing as a multi-instrumentalist in the nationally based drug-policy reform activist group, The Wets. In a past life, from 2011-2021, N.T. Zettell was the producer and emcee of the Annual Ann Arbor Hash Bash.
